Stewardship Campaign 2024-2025

Pledge page due Sunday, May 26th

During May, our community takes time to think and talk about stewardship as we form our budget for the coming fiscal year. How do we use our resources of time, finances, and ability to nurture the kingdom of God through Holy Spirit Lutheran Church? This year, our theme is Cultivating Community. Think about the things in the garden of this community that we can nurture and grow, and how we can be even better gardeners! If, as Jesus said, the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, then even the smallest things have enormous potential. Every gift makes a difference. Every act of caring for the garden – of cultivating community – is done in partnership with God. Members received Stewardship Invitations in the mail - please return your pledge page to the church office by Sunday, May 26th.

New Director of Music Ministries

Chrade Younkin, starts mid-July

After a thorough search and interview process, our call committee extended an offer to Chrade Younkin, who has accepted the role of Director of Music Ministries. We are very excited for Chrade to become part of the Holy Spirit staff and community! Chrade will be relocating from Indianapolis, but he is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest, having previously worked at Holy Trinity Lutheran on Mercer Island as well as Luther Memorial in Seattle. Chrade's start date is planned for mid-July, and we look forward to welcoming him this summer!

To our interim team of music leaders, we again extend a big THANK-YOU for keeping the music thriving at Holy Spirit during this time of transition. We are so grateful for all of you!

VBS and Day Camp 2024 - Registration Open, Volunteers Needed!

Monday, July 29th through Friday, August 2nd

Each year we have an adventure where kids explore the bible in a variety of ways - through song, story, arts & crafts, games, science, and snacks. This week is fun and has something for everyone! Each child discovers something more about loving each other, building a community, and discovering God’s love. We are so excited to have your child join us for an amazing week at Treasure Hunt.

Children ages 4 by July 29th through those entering sixth grade in the fall are welcome to register and attend. Completing the online registration form (available online via the button below) and online payment holds your child's spot for our week of fun.

We also need teen and adult volunteers to spend the week with all the kids. Please consider joining us for a day, a couple days, or the whole week. Volunteer applications are due June 9th. Sign up at the website via the button below.

If you have questions, please contact Becky Cole.
