Lutheran Peace Fellowship Presents: “Reducing Your Carbon Footprint” Steps Individuals Can Take to Reduce their Carbon Footprint and Make a Difference.

Ron Snell from “Citizens Climate Action” will review the climate action plans and programs the City of Kirkland is currently undertaking.  The program will also share information about green efforts and carbon reduction actions individuals can take.  Following the presentations we will have small group discussions identifying how even absence leadership from the federal government there are steps we can take as individuals and actions we can request our local and state elected officials implement.

This workshop is designed for writers, artists, quilters, gardeners, musicians, and anyone who creates! Each week we will take a topic like nature, scripture, color, self-reflection, and sound (or quiet). After a short presentation on how the topic can inspire or challenge our creativity and our faith, we will have a time to share what we have created between sessions. Dreams of Love and Laughter Concert

Dreams of Love and Laughter highlights piano and vocal music from two early 20th-century visionary composers, Mompou (Spain) and Poulenc (France). This hour-long concert will be charged with pieces that express dreamlike depictions of love ad laughter. Carissa Castaldo of Seattle Opera brings to life poetry and lyrical line that will leave you breathless while luscious harmonies and eccentric rhythms accompany her on the piano by David Horton.

A concert for all ages and music lovers alike.
