The HSLC fundraiser to help with a clean water project at Tierra Santa Home for Abandoned Children
(“the Hogar”) in Honduras has wrapped up, raising $17,112.25 so far. The donations will help pay for a water purification plant,
a room for washing water jugs,
facility for selling water to the community, and completely new boys’ and girls’ bathrooms. Our mission team this summer
will be helping to construct the water project
For the first time, there will be an ample supply of clean drinking water for the Hogar. The Hogar will also be able
to provide free drinking water to the local schools and generate income by selling the excess to the community. New bathrooms
will include flush toilets, sinks and showers, all contributing to their health.
Honduras Mission Supplies Still Needed!
HSLC’s intergenerational mission trip to Honduras will take place June 28 – July 7. The team plans to take much needed
supplies for the Hogar Tierra Santa home for orphaned and abandoned children, as we have done on previous mission trips.

Bread and Water Celebration June 22
Join us in the Fellowship Hall between services on June 22 to celebrate the wonderful success of the fundraiser for
the Honduras water project. We will have a variety of breads to remind us of the importance of this basic food to people
around the world and plenty of water, which we are so fortunate to be able to drink right from our taps, unlike much of
the world. This will also be an opportunity to meet the members of this year’s Honduras mission team as well as people
who have gone on previous mission trips
