Handbell Music Ministries

Spirit Ringers

Holy Spirit’s dedicated group of adult and senior high youth handbell musicians, the Spirit Ringers, play on five octaves of Schumlerich handbells and three octaves of Malmark handchimes. With rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the sanctuary (except during the summer), the Spirit Ringers offer music in worship about once a month.  Music selections include original compositions for bells as well as hymns, songs, and a wide variety of music arranged for handbells. Contact the church office if you are interested in ringing.

Joyful Ringers - on HIATUS

Children in grades 3 through 6 are invited to participate in Holy Spirit’s 3-octave beginning bell and chime choir for kids. Fundamentals of music notation and bell ringing are taught, and the group performs several times a year in worship and at other special congregational events. The group rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:15 to 5:45 pm in the sanctuary (except in the summer) and offers music about once a quarter or when children are ready to feel confident in worship.

Rejoicing Ringers - on HIATUS

Youth 6th grade and up are invited to participate in the Rejoicing Ringers, a 3-4 octave intermediate bell and chime choir.  Some music reading experience is helpful for participation in this group, but not always absolutely necessary.  The Rejoicing Ringers meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 to 6:30 pm in the sanctuary (except during the summer), and offer music approximately once a month in worship.
