The monthly gathering of the Lutheran Peace Fellowship: Eastside will include a discussion of gun safety, proposed gun control regulations, and other initiatives that are being discussed to reduced violence. The group Moms Demand Action has developed a gun safety program entitled BeSMART. The BeSMART program covers safe gun storage, talking about guns and gun culture with friends, family members, and teens, and the risk of teen suicide.
This evening's programs will expand the discussion beyond gun safety and storage. Information about existing and proposed gun control regulation will be shared and opportunities for advocacy identified. All are invited.
