Holy Spirit Lutheran Church is hosting the gathering of the summer during Vacation Bible School 2011!! All kids ages 4 through 6th grade are invited to join us on our adventure!!! Join Holy Spirit Lutheran Church as we experience the river of life in our very own Arctic Adventure!! Our week begins on Monday, July 18 and continues through Friday, July 22.

The hours for Vacation Bible School (VBS) are from 9:00 am—12:00 noon every day. Children ages four through kids entering third grade in the fall are all invited to be part of Vacation Bible School.

This year, the 4th through 6th graders will again have an expanded program to include in-depth discussions, helping others and more fun activities. This group also receives lunch and an extra snack. The hours for Day Camp are from 9:00 am—3:30 pm Monday—Thursday and 9:00 am—12:00 noon Friday.

We look for volunteers to lead in the areas of arts and crafts, music, drama, games, science and snacks. Additional adult volunteers are needed to be “shepherds” for small groups of children. Youth (7th grade and older), as well as adults, also help supervise children as helpers to the shepherds. Join us for an ice cream celebration on Thursday evening at 6:30pm. The kids will share songs and we’ll see some highlights from the week.

We welcome adults —with or without children—to be a part of a planning team to organize, decorate, design name tags, lead and teach God’s word in this fun-filled, fast-paced week that kids look forward to all year long!
