Keep in touch with the latest Children and Family News at all levels
All youth in 5th and 6th grades are invited to check out this year's program.
It offers opportunities for service, education, worship, family time and fellowship.
Specifically for this age group, we focus on fostering a positive environment in which
the youth can feel part of a Christian community of youth their own ages.
We have started planning a calendar year that will include the following:
- Movie Night & Service Project — January 9, 2009
- Elementary Weekend at Lutherwood — March 13-14, 2009
- Movie & Seder — April 17, 2009
- Transition & End of Year Celebration — May 1, 2009
Check out the Online Youth Newsletter for the latest on our activities.
We ask that all participants complete a HSLC Permission Form.
If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact Becky Cole through the church office.
Holy Spirit Lutheran Church is committed to keeping children safe, and so asks that all
adults volunteering in ministries with children and youth undergo a background screening.
Our guidelines are outlines in a “Safe Haven” policy, available in our church office.
We also ask that you attend a training session so you are familiar with this policy and
have the opportunity to ask questions. Contact the church office to register for the
next class or obtain the class schedule.
Holy Spirit needs to have a check run by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on any
person who will drive our vans or drive their personal vehicle for any Holy Spirit Lutheran Church
sponsored event. This is done in order to maintain our insurance coverage. If you plan to drive for
any event, please fill in both pages of a DMV Check Form and submit it, along with a copy
of your driver’s license and proof of insurance (if you plan to drive your personal vehicle)
to the church office. Click here for the DMV Check Form.
