Welcome to Journey, the 7th and 8th grade ministry at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church! Dictionary.com defines the word “journey” as the “passage or progress from one stage to another”.
Our goal is to provide a place for you to be encouraged and supported, where you can be yourself and be accepted and build some good relationships as you “journey” from childhood to young adult.
Youth Nights:
One Sunday a month from September through April, we meet to do a big group activity with the high school (Oasis) group. This is a time to get to know new people, try some new things and just have some fun. Most of these activities will be outside of the church. We encourage you to invite your friends but their parents will need to fill out a registration/permission form for them to go along. Of course, you will need one too!
Sky Zone Trampoline Park Grades 7-12 Sunday, February 12 4:00 -6:00 pm Cost: $20
Join us for our annual trampoline youth night. We’ll be heading to Sky Zone in Kirkland for an evening of wall-to-wall trampolines! Sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex, and make sure you bring your signed liability form and payment.
Jr. High GO! Night has been rescheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 2 and 3! Meet at Holy Spirit at 7:00 pm (please eat dinner before you arrive) on Friday night and we will be back to Holy Spirit by 7:30 am on Saturday morning. Please bring a refillable water bottle and a snack to share. If you have not signed up and want to go, please contact Tammie at confirmation @hslckirkland.org.

Retreats:
Retreats are a great way to meet new people and to have some great fun. We offer two retreats each year – one in the fall and one in the spring. All 7th and 8th graders are invited to attend the retreats. Confirmation students are expected to attend at least one retreat per year.
9th Graders will have opportunities to do activities with Oasis (high school group).

Breakfast Club:
Even though the breakfast Club meets on Sunday Mornings, we are not your typical Sunday School class. Open to grades 7-12, We explore our faith through food, fun & fellowship. Our activities include breakfast, games, service projects, Bible studies and more. We have great discussions on relevant teen topics in a safe environment where we try to ensure everyone has a voice. Questions are welcomed and encouraged and we share lots of different opinions!
Bring your friends and hang out with us on Sunday mornings at 11am in the Youth Room!
