A yearly Flu Clinic is offered each Fall. In November of 2008 Visiting Nurse Services of the Northwest provided the Flu and Pneumococcal injections. The cost of the injections could be billed to the insurance company or the participant could pay the fee. A minimum of 20 participants is required for this service to occur.
Get vaccinated for the seasonal flu and 2009 H1N1. A special vaccination day is scheduled at Holy Spirit on November 15, 2009 from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Unfortunately, because of a supply shortage, the visiting nurse service that will bring us the usual flu shots will not be able to provide H1N1 (Swine Flu) shots at this time.
We encourage members to get vaccinated for the seasonal flu and 2009 H1N1 flu through your health care provider or public health resources. A special vaccination day scheduled at Holy Spirit during November was not possible because of a vaccine supply shortage.
